Geta   Suruga-nuri geta are famous as a traditional handicraft of Shizuoka Prefecture. They are made using traditional methods such as urushi lacquerware, which has a unique sheen, and maki-e, in which patterns are applied to the surface using gold or silver powder. There are as many as 30 to 50 processes involved in the production process. Depending on the design, it may take about one and a half years to complete one pair.
